Now that we know that at least the Supreme editions will offer a leather alternative to the initial Nike Air Force 1 Low Deconstruct designs, let’s take a closer look at one of those first suede builds. This pair’s upper is entirely Obsidian, and because we’re so familiar with this particular shade of navy blue, it’s apparent from these preview images that this material is a cut above your typical AF1 release. Their all-over look paired with white midsole and gum bottom is the kind of combination we’ve been seeing from premium lifestyle designs for a while during the market’s post-recession cleanup, but will you be able to focus on this pair given all the AF1 XXX heat in this 30th anniversary year? Let us know when you click through for a closer look at the Obsidian Air Force 1 Deconstruct, and stick with Sneaker News for US release info.

The Nike Manor takes its lines from a tennis star who made some serious noise in Flushing, Queens, but its latest colorway skips the nearby Mets in favor of New York’s undisputed kings of hardball. A design based on John McEnroe’s Mac Attack tennis shoe, the Manor is ready for spring training in this Yankees-esque mix of greys, navy and white that’s just as supremely wearable as the other colorways we’ve seen so far. The Manor has proven in a short time to be one of Nike Sportswear’s most versatile designs; are they the cream of the current NSW lifestyle crop? Let us know which is your favorite as you click through for more images and stick with Sneaker News for updates on this pair.

LeBron James’ ‘Hardwood Classic’ PEs toyed with the minds of Knicks fans through the entire LeBron x Cleveland era, but since the move to Miami, the Blue/Orange colorway has been completely abandoned (save the LeBron 9 ‘China’ release). During Tuesday night’s game between the Heat and Nets, LeBron James matched the Heat’s ‘Hardwood Classic’ Miami Floridian uniforms with a new PE of the Nike LeBron 9 – a fresh White/Pink/Orange colorway with the Foamposite-like material on the upper to match the Retro-styled throwback jerseys. We’ve got some in-game action shots of LeBron and his new PEs after the jump so check ‘em out and let us know what you think of the latest installment of the Nike LeBron ‘HWC’ saga. via ESPN

Top 10 Jordan Brand Quick, Air, & Explosive Plays Of The 2012 All-Star Game

Posted by john patrick aquisap

With Michael Jordan at the core of the design and the three Jordan Brand signature athletes acting as pillars of performance engineering, the Air Jordan 2012 encapsulate the greatness of the then, new, and future of Jordan Brand. Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, and Dwyane Wade received starting nods for this year’s 2012 NBA All-Star Game, and all three athletes displayed their on-court excellence that has earned them the rightful reputations as some of the greatest players of the game. Dwyane Wade displayed ‘Air’ by recording the All-Star Game’s third triple-double in history while dunking effortlessly in the Air Jordan 2012 and Fly Wade 2, Chris Paul exemplified ‘Quick’ by dishing out a game-high 12 assists, and Carmelo was ‘Explosive’, chipping in 19 points, 9 boards, and 2 steals. Check out the three Jordan Brand All-Star athletes in action at the 2012 NBA All-Star Game below and let us know which flight approach – Fly Around, Fly Over, or Fly Through – you utilize in your game!

10. QUICK – Two of the premier point guards in the league face off as Chris Paul uses some quick footwork in his Jordan CP3.V’s to hold off a driving Deron Williams.

9. AIR -Dwyane Wade gets some serious air as he elevates just a little higher than the West’s Russell Westbrook to get this shot off.

8. QUICK – You’ve gotta be quick to navigate through all those giants, so Chris Paul depends on his superior agility to make adjustments on the fly while finding an open Western Conference All-Star teammate on the wing.

7. AIR – Dwyane Wade splits the defense and goes airborne for a one-hander in one of his two sneaker looks for the night – the Jordan Fly Wade 2.

6. EXPLOSIVE -Dwyane Wade muscles his way past Kobe, who may have been looking for some revenge after a hard D-Wade foul that drew some blood.

5. EXPLOSIVE – The All-Star Game may have had some lax defensive play, but no one was getting in Melo’s way on this strong take.

4. QUICK – Penetrate and distribute. The full range of CP3′s lightning speed was on display as he dished from all angles and carved through the Eastern All-Stars with relative ease.

3. AIR – How many guys can get up with D-Wade? Dirk didn’t even bother trying to contest this nimble Wade finger roll.

2. EXPLOSIVE – All five Western All-Stars on the floor can only watch as Carmelo Anthony throws down a two-hander with authority in the Jordan Melo M8.

1. AIR – Dwyane Wade skies above the rest in the Air Jordan 2012 on the way to a pretty dunk and two points to add to his All-Star Game triple-double.

Solebox unleashed the best light-up sneaker of 2011 not named ‘Nike Mag’ last March and they’ve got a sequel in store for spring. The Solebox x Reebok Omni Pump Zone reprises a design first seen just under a year ago, this new model switching out the orange accents for an electric green that gets you thinking how many other different colors could make for an equally awesome design. We don’t know yet if this will be an annual highlight but Solebox and RBK do have a well documented relationship and we’ve got more images of their latest after the jump below.

That date isn’t exactly concrete, nor is the actual nature of the release known (what colorways, for example), but with the rising number of appearances of the Air Yeezy 2, we can only hope that a release is coming soon. Of the Yeezy 2, the ‘Zen Grey’ has been a trending issue, as we saw a good on-feet look on them on Kanye West’s feet while he was out in London for Fashion Week. Here we have another simple shot of the shoe, provided to us by Def Jam executive Shawn ‘Pecas’ Costner yet again; with a grey upper, hot red interior, and mint green outsole, are these a hotter commodity than the Black/Pink? Let us know in the comments section below and stick with Sneaker News for more updates on what could possibly eclipse the Galaxy Foamposite as the biggest release of the year.

VANS PRO SKATE SHOES REVIEW

Posted by john patrick aquisap

Vans Era Pro Skate Shoe - Men's

The Vans Men’s Era Pro Skate Shoe features the same clean and simple look of the Era, but with the twist of a durable all suede upper. Performance footbeds increase the skateability of this shoe. It’s pretty much Van’s way of reminding everyone who was the first and who is still the best at performance vulcanized.

The Era Pro is a major step in tweaking and upgrading the skate performance of one of the best selling classic shoes. A few years back the Vans team skated Classics, loved them, and kept requesting them with performance footbeds. Seeing the popularity Vans introduced Era Pro?s, but had not put the product in our permanent rotation until now. Putting a stake in the ground to combat the knock-off products and remind everyone who was the first and who is still the best at performance vulcanized. Look for the special "Pro Classics" logos and labeling to identify this product.

THE ORIGINAL - adidas

Posted by john patrick aquisap

The original adidas Micropacer was revolutionary for its time. Released in 1984 to coincide with the Los Angeles Olympics, the sneaker carried a edometer that sat above the laces, while the silver leather upper was a first of its kind on a sneaker and turned heads wherever it was rocked. The subtle switching of red and blue detail on the 3-Stripes of the B-Sides release is something true collectors will appreciate.

The B-Sides collection will be available at the no6 and no74 concept stores in London and Berlin respectively and selected adidas Originals stores.

JEREMY LIN

Posted by john patrick aquisap

Already in the midst of a three-year year contract with Nike, new reports suggest that New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin has signed an extension. According to NY Daily News, Nike will soon roll out a new promotional campaign built around Lin, the first of several endorsement opportunities on the table for the 23-year-old. Lin's agent declined to comment on the new deal when reached out to by phone last week.
Marc Ganis, SportsCorp Ltd. Owner, told the Daily News that renegotiations likely took place because of the limited terms included in Lin's initial deal with Nike, which he signed prior to his rookie season. Ganis also speculates that Nike will now pay him between $2-4 million dollars, despite the general belief that he could have made much more testing the market as a free agent. Those figures, as of now, are unconfirmed.
Lin's emergence is heaven sent for Nike, who has been aggressive with Chinese marketing strategies in recent years.
"You can expect he's going to be their number two poster endorser to LeBron James in China and they may promote him as the top guy (there)," Ganis told NY Daily.
The news of Lin's possible contract extension with Nike comes on the heels of Sports Illustrated revealing him as their cover athlete for the second-straight issue. With his popularity soaring at the moment, do you think Lin is destined to be basketball's next big superstar or will all of this come crashing down?
We'll keep you updated on Jeremy's contract extension as more details become available.
